Entry Fee: $17 by 7/8/08; $10 without t-shirt
Race Course is generally flat with a few short
uphill and downhill grades. Starting and ending at
the fairgrounds, it is run on city streets within the
residential areas of Fisher. Pets, bicycles, inline
skate, and strollers are not allowed.
Parking is available near the starting line at the
fairgrounds. No parking will be permitted along the
course.
Entry Fee is $17 (t-shirts provided), $10 without
t-shirt for prerace entries. NO refunds. A limited
number of t-shirts will be available on race day and
not guaranteed to race-day registrants. Registration
deadline is July 8, 2008. There will be a $2
additional charge for race day registration.
Packet Pick-Up and Race Day Registration is 6:30
to 7:30 a.m. in Glades Hall.
Split Times will be given at mile one and two
during the race. Water is available at two locations
along the course.
At the Finish Chute there is a race clock and
timer. Numbers must be pinned to the front of shirts.
Race officials will collect the perforated portion of
each participants number.
Facilities and Refreshments. Electrolyte
replacement drinks, water, and fruit will be
supplied. Restrooms and showers are located on the
fairgrounds. First aid and ambulance service will be
available.
Overall Winners -- Plaques will be awarded to the
top 3 male and female finishers.
Individual Category winners -- Medallions will be
awarded t the first 3 finishers in each age group.

Rules and Regulations
All participants must pre-enter and pre-pay by
calling the superintendent at 217.897.1021.
Must be 18 years old to drive.
Entry fee admits car and driver. Pit crew
members must purchase a pit pass for $20 each; limit
of four pit passes per vehicle entered.
48 car limit Title MUST accompany
entry.
Must be pre-entered and pre-paid. Must bring
title with car (no exceptions).
Program starts promptly at 6:00 p.m.
No beer or liquor allowed in pits.
NO alcohol or drugs permitted in pit area. Any
driver or pit crew member under the influence will be
escorted out.
All cars will be inspected off of the trailer.
Car must be checked in at least two hours before
start time.
An on-site separate tech crew is responsible
for car inspection per Fair rules. The tech crew
supervisor will make the final decision about
eligibility. Drivers have until 6:00 p.m. to make the
necessary adjustments in order to qualify.
Off of street stock cars only. NO commercial
vehicles, ambulances, hearses, limos, or imperials.
All glass, trim, lights, etc. must be removed.
Radiators must remain in stock position.
Transmission coolers optional. NO engine oil coolers.
All hoods will be open for inspection.
Stock gas tank must be removed and replaced
with a tank inside the car with a six gallon maximum.
The gas must be tightly secured and covered with a
protective firewall.
Batteries must be moved inside drivers
compartment and must be secured and covered.
Drivers doors may be welded solid. All
other doors can be welded with a six-inch weld, then
a three inch gap (NOT SOLID). Tailgates on wagons
must be wired or bolted, no welds. Tailgates on
trucks may be welded with a six-inch weld, then a
three-inch gap (NOT SOLID).
Hood, trunk, and tailgates may be fastened
with six ¾-inch bolts or six places with #9 wire.
Must be outboard of radiator. Must use either bolts
or wire, not a combination of the two. Cannot go
through the frame. Additional wire may be used but
must be from sheet metal to sheet metal.
Any tire must not exceed 16.5.
Body bolts can be replaced with up to ¾-inch
bolts, 5"x5"washers. Seam welding is
allowed. Leafspring conversions are allowed, eight
springs maximum.
Four-point cages are allowed. NO kicker bars
forward or backward from cage allowed. Vertical bars
must go straight down. Cage not to exceed six inches
behind seat. Driver must have working seatbelts and
use them. NO bars outside of car. Cage highly
recommended.
NO plating or reinforcing of any part of the
frame or core support. NO painting or undercoating of
frame.
Cars without headers through hood must have
two eight-inch holes on each side of carburetor.
Must make contact every 60 seconds.
Must have seat belts. Shoulder harness
optional.
Fans may be removed.
All air-conditioning compressors must be
removed.
More than one car can be entered by the same
entrant.

All drivers must wear regulation type helmets.
Flag rules will be explained at drivers
meeting.
White flag must be brought down if disabled.
No car can run in final unless qualified from
heats.
No pressurized fuel.
Judges decision is final.
Both front doors must be painted white.
Drivers with a fire will receive one warning
before being disqualified.
Air bags must be removed.
Women can compete in same event with men.
Cars participating in the small car derby must
be four cylinders and the wheelbase must not exceed

because you did not know.
Any protests should be made prior to the
feature. After the feature begins, it is to late.
