The 2010 Fisher Community Fair is being conducted as an open show for all livestock exhibits.

  • Animals exhibited must be recorded with the respective breed associations in the name of the bonefide exhibitor to date of showing.
  • Ownership: Animals owned in partnership may be entered in all classes in one owner’s name, but must appear under but one ownership. The entry shall carry a footnote showing actual ownership of the animals as appearing upon the herd record books. Exhibitors in open classes must show all or part ownership of the animals shown.
  • Exhibitors must furnish all water pails for watering of animals. No water tanks will be allowed. Each exhibitor must furnish his or her own feed for the necessary care of their animals.
  • Awards will be made by single judge system. Placing will be final.
  • Registration and Health Certificates must be under the care of the person in charge of the exhibit. Both will accompany entries and be checked upon entry. Registration papers are required on steers.
  • Exhibitors must submit their animals for examination by the veterinarian when so ordered by the superintendent of the department.
  • No more than two entries in any class by one exhibitor.
  • Each superintendent reserves the right to manage his or her show.
  • The Fisher Community Fair will provide adequate police protection and take such precautionary measures as are consistent in the operation of the Fair. However, the Fair Board and the Fisher Community Fair and Horse Show will not be responsible to any person, individual, corporation, or association for any loss by either fire, theft, or personal injury sustained by anyone through the negligence of any person or group of persons, exhibits, or exhibitors.
  • The directors of the Fisher Community Fair and Horse Show reserve the right to cancel the fair and withdraw all premiums offered should unforeseen circumstances occur which, in the judgement of the directors, would make it advisable to do so, and all premiums offered and contracts made shall be null and void.
  • Exhibitors of livestock will be required to keep the stall in a neat and clean condition. All stall and pens must be cleaned daily.
  • All Beef, Goats and Sheep are open classes.
  • All livestock trailers enter through the south gate.
  • All horse trailers use the north gate.
  • Scales will be provided to weigh all market animals for proper placement. These weights are official.
  • Only animals to be shown at the fair may be kept on the fair grounds.
  • Each individual is asked to cooperate in maintaining cleanliness in the barns and on the fairgrounds.
  • All manure must be placed in provided marked areas.
  • All grievances will be ruled on by the livestock superintendent and committee. Their decision is final.
  • Beef tie-out areas will be east of the cattle barns. No exceptions.
  • Each exhibitor is required to buy an Exhibitor Pass ($15 each) at the time of entry, limit two per exhibitor.
  • Campers will only be allowed south of the livestock barns.
  • Tie outs and livestock trailers must be on the south east property line only.

False Pretense in Registration, Etc.

An act to punish false pretenses in obtaining certificates or registration of cattle and other animals, and to punish giving false pedigrees (Approved May 13, 1887, in force July 1, 1887, p.18) 32. Penalty for obtaining certificate of registration by false pretense.

1. Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly: That any person who by any false pretense, shall obtain from any club, association, society, or company for improving the breed of cattle, horses, sheep, swine, or otherdomestic animals, a certificate of registration of any animal in the herd register or other register of any such club, association, society, or company, or a transfer of any such registration, and every person who shall knowingly give a false pedigree of any animal, upon conviction thereof shall be fined not exceeding $1,000, nor less than $25, or imprisonment in the county jail for a period not exceeding one year, or both, in the discretion of the court.
